Sumitomo Pavilion to host Theme Week event

On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 14:30 to 16:00 the Sumitomo Pavilion will host a Theme Week event featuring a lecture and panel discussion on the topic of well-being.

Overview of Sumitomo Pavilion Theme Week. Details are as follows.

“Theme Weeks” are an initiative in which countries around the world explore solutions to global challenges through dialogue. This program began at the previous expo in Dubai, making use of the unique nature of the Expo as a place where people from all over the world come together over a six-month period.

At Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, eight weekly themes have been set corresponding to the overarching goal of “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” in collaboration with the world. The theme for the fourth week, running from June 20 to July 1, is “Health and Well-being.” A range of programs will explore the question: How can we create a society where each person’s well-being resonates?

At the Sumitomo Pavilion, a lecture and a panel discussion will explore well-being, a concept increasingly viewed as a key indicator in the post-SDGs era.
